Editor's Foreword
When Fernando first told me he was writing a book about internal linking, I'll admit I was skeptical.
Internal linking? The thing we all know we should do but never quite get around to? The unglamorous, unsexy, behind-the-scenes work that doesn't make for a good conference talk or an attention-grabbing headline?
But then he started walking me through what he was working on, and I realized this wasn't the book I expected.
This isn't a dry technical manual. It's not a collection of abstract theories. It's a surgical guide written by someone who has been in the trenches, who has made the mistakes, who has seen what actually works and what doesn't.
Fernando has a rare combination of skills. He understands the technical side deeply, but he also understands the business side. He knows that a technically perfect linking structure doesn't matter if it doesn't move the needle for your business. He knows that the best strategy in the world is useless if you can't implement it.
What you're about to read is the result of years of doing this work, of teaching it to others, of refining the approach based on what actually produces results.
The book is structured to be practical. Each chapter builds on the last, but you can also jump to the section that addresses your immediate needs. The examples are real. The tools are the ones Fernando actually uses with his clients. The checklists and templates are things you can put to work immediately.
I've had the privilege of seeing this book take shape over several months, and I can say with confidence: if you apply what's in these pages, your site will perform better. Not because of tricks or hacks, but because you'll be working with the structure of the web instead of against it.
This is the book I wish I'd had when I started my own SEO journey.
