A Reader's Take
Here's the thing about internal linking that nobody tells you: it's not about the links themselves.
It's about the story you're telling.
Every time you place a link from one page to another, you're telling the reader, and Google, that these two ideas belong together. You're building a narrative. You're creating a map of how your content connects.
When I first read this book, I thought I was going to learn a technical skill. And I did. But what I actually learned was how to think about my content differently. I stopped seeing my site as a collection of individual pages and started seeing it as a web of connected ideas.
That changed everything.
The pages I used to treat as isolated pieces of content became part of a larger story. My product pages weren't just sales tools; they were the conclusion to arguments I'd been making in my blog posts. My service pages weren't just descriptions; they were the answer to questions I'd been raising in my guides.
I started seeing links as storytelling tools. And I started seeing results.
